Privacy
marked.dev is made by the design team at Eno. This policy explains what we collect when you use marked.dev, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little: what it takes to keep your refs and let your agent read them.
What we collect
Your account: your name, email address and profile picture, from Google or from the email link you sign in with.
What you save: the links you paste, the media we copy from them (images, videos and their stills), their authors and source as published, and the titles, notes, categories and collections you add.
Your agent's access: when you connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client, the authorization it holds and the permissions you granted (read-only unless you allow saving), and a count of its searches to apply the monthly limit.
Feature requests: what you write in the Request a feature form, and your email if you choose to leave it.
Technical data: the logs our hosting keeps to run and protect the service (such as IP address, browser and time of a request), for a short period.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads or use advertising trackers. We run no analytics on your browsing. Your collections are private: nothing you save is shown to anyone else, and the public library on Explore is curated by us from public posts.
Why we use it
To provide the service you asked for (your account, your library, your agent's access): this is the contract between us. To keep it secure and working, fight abuse and answer you: our legitimate interest. When you leave your email in a feature request, to reply to you: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who helps us
Clerk handles sign-in and sessions. Neon hosts the database. Vercel hosts the site and stores your media privately (Vercel Blob). Google signs you in if you choose it. Feature requests are filed as issues on GitHub. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service, under its own security and privacy commitments. Some of them are based in the United States; transfers rely on the safeguards the GDPR provides, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the service needs: session cookies that keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage for preferences such as the theme, sound and motion settings. No advertising or tracking cookies, so no consent banner.
How long we keep it
Your account and everything you saved stay until you delete them. Deleting your account in Settings erases your profile, collections, saves, personal refs and their media, and revokes your agent's access. Hosting logs are kept for a short period. Feature requests stay as long as the issue is useful to us.
Your rights
You can export all your data as a JSON file from Settings, and delete your account there at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct, erase or port your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to contact.marked@gmail.com. If you think we got something wrong, you can complain to your data protection authority; in France, the CNIL.
Your agent
Your agent reads only your own collections, with the access you granted, and only while that access lasts. It can save refs only if you allowed saving. You can disconnect it from Settings at any time.
Age
marked.dev is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you by email before any change that matters.
